After an illustrious career spanning nearly five decades, our Executive Director of 30 years and Pasadena Heritage employee of 45 will be retiring.
Please join us as we celebrate the career of Sue Mossman at The Sue Mossman Retirement Dinner, Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at The Athenaeum at Caltech.
As Sue retires, she will be leaving an unparalleled legacy in shaping our organization, the City of Pasadena, and the field of preservation. Under Sue’s tenure, Pasadena Heritage has saved countless Pasadena landmarks from demolition and has grown to become one of the most successful and respected preservation organizations in the country.
We will be celebrating Sue’s invaluable leadership and career dedicated to preserving the best Pasadena has to offer with a cocktail reception, dinner, live entertainment, and heartfelt farewells at the prestigious Athenaeum on the Caltech campus.
We sincerely hope you will consider joining us as a Sponsor at the Corporate or Individual Level in honoring Sue’s legacy and ensuring the continued success of our preservation efforts.
(Individual tickets will be available for purchase soon!)
The Athenaeum at Caltech serves as one of Pasadena’s finest examples of the remarkable historic buildings and sites that grace our beloved city. With its elegance, historical significance, and exceptional architectural design, it stands as a testament to the priceless heritage and architectural treasures that Pasadena is fortunate to be home to and that Sue has dedicated a career to protecting.
Built in 1930 by William C. Crowell (Huntington Library, Scottish Rite Cathedral), landscaped by Florence Yoch and Lucile Council (Howard Huntington Estate, Getty House), and designed by noted architect Gordon Kaufmann (Hoover Damn, Greystone Mansion) The Athenaeum at Caltech has played host to some of the greatest minds in history, including Albert Einstein.
We hope you will join us at this special Pasadena venue for a special once-in-a-generation event as we bid a very fond farewell to Sue.
All proceeds from the Sue Mossman Retirement Dinner will support Pasadena Heritage and our mission to identify, preserve and protect the historic, architectural and cultural resources of the City of Pasadena through advocacy and education.
Sponsorship commitments must be received by April 1 to receive recognition in the invitation.
