After a five-year hiatus we are thrilled to bring back this beloved and uniquely Pasadena tradition. Dating back to 1978, the Colorado Street Bridge Party is held in celebration of this historic Pasadena icon and our efforts to preserve it.
Join Pasadena Heritage for a one-of-a-kind opportunity to stroll along the Historic Colorado Street Bridge in celebration of one of Pasadena’s most magnificent monuments with a fun-filled night over the Arroyo Seco on Saturday, July 15, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
With live music from the Jimbonaires, Upstream, Mercy and the Merkettes, and Art Deco Entertainment; dancing; vintage and rare cars; children’s activities; festive foods from local eateries like Mijares Mexican Restaurant, Robin’s Wood Fire BBQ, Pam’s Sweet Shack and Funnel Cakes; craft beers from Craftsman Brewing and Eagle Rock Brewery; specialty cocktails; hand-picked wine varietals and so much more – it’s a party of the ages for all ages!
All proceeds support the mission of Pasadena Heritage to identify, preserve and protect the historic, architectural and cultural resources of the City of Pasadena.

NOTICE: ACTIVITY TICKETS will be needed to make purchases at all vendors at the Bridge Party, including food and beverage and select children’s activities. ACTIVITY TICKET PRE-PURCHASES HAVE CLOSED. THERE WILL BE FOUR LOCATIONS AT THE EVENT TO PURCHASE ACTIVITY TICKETS. They are for sale on the Eventbrite page. Activity Tickets can be exchanged for purchases at a value of 1 ticket = $1.

Hosted by Pasadena Heritage, the Bridge Party is a big community celebration on the historic Colorado Street Bridge which is closed to traffic for the evening. The event is held to commemorate the saving of this iconic landmark and preservation efforts throughout the city. The event raises funds for Pasadena Heritage, the local non-profit historic preservation organization, and its programs and services.
Tickets are on sale now through Eventbrite, and discounts are available for members of Pasadena Heritage and before the event.

Pre-Sale: $33 for Members and $38 for Non-members – July 1 – Friday, July 14, 11:59 p.m.
Day of: All tickets will be $40.00.
Kids: Children 12 and under are free.

At the event tickets can be purchased at the entrance on Orange Grove Blvd. at Colorado Blvd. Tickets can also be purchased at the West End entrance if you plan to walk on from west of the Bridge.
Yes! This is a family-friendly event. Kids 12 and under are free. There will be a variety of free kids activities, and entertainment offered from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Defenders Park, featuring a drum circle, games, police and fire vehicles, face painting, a rock wall, and more.

Tickets are being issued through Eventbrite via email. Check your email inbox and spam folder for a message from Eventbrite. Make sure you bring your ticket with you for entrance to the party. Tickets will be scanned and can be scanned on your phone or printed out.
Yes, feel free to come and go, your wristband will allow you to re-enter.
Due to the number of people expected at this event, for the safety of guests and your own pet, we ask that you DO NOT bring pets. Service animals are welcome as needed.
There are three entrances to the event: South Orange Grove at Colorado Boulevard, the far west end of the Bridge, and the north end of South Grand Avenue at the cul-de-sac. Only those with tickets, vendors and volunteers may enter at South Grand.
Ticket holders may enter at any entrance. You can purchase additional tickets only at Orange Grove and Colorado and at the far west end of the Bridge. (No ticket sales at the South Grand entrance – it is for ticket holders and volunteers only.)
There will be a security check at all entrances, including bag inspections.
The North end of South Grand Avenue at the cul-de-sac is the entrance for vendors, entertainers and volunteers.
Security personnel will be on duty throughout the event, including private security and off-duty Pasadena Police officers. If you need help, feel free to contact the nearest security person directly or go to any Scrip Table where communication with security will be available.
Be casual and comfortable, but shirts and shoes are required.
We will be posting set times on the website the week of the party.
Festive foods, sweets, craft beer, cocktails, and wine will be available from local vendors. Prices will be from $5 to $15 and can be purchased using Activity Tickets “Scrip” only. Activity Tickets “Scrip” are valued at $1.00 each. There will be six designated Activity Tickets “Scrip” purchase areas throughout the event.
Yes. Save time and purchase your Activity Tickets “Scrip” online through Eventbrite in advance. Activity Tickets “Scrip” sales close on Event 3 days prior to the event.
Activity Tickets “Scrip” purchased online can be picked up at the South Orange Grove at Colorado Boulevard entrance at the WILL CALL TABLE. Tickets can be picked up at the West End entrance if you let us know you will be entering from the West so we can place your order there. Email us at preservation@pasadenaheritage.org if you would like your Activity Tickets “Scrip” held at the West End of the Bridge. Otherwise, they will be at WILL CALL at the main entrance. Please bring your ACTIVITY TICKET “Scrip” ticket from Eventbrite with you.
Bottled water is $2 and can be purchased at any of the 4 bars.
Yes, the Lost & Found booth is located at the Grand Avenue cul-de-sac entrance.
FREE PARKING: Free parking will be available on surface streets (along South Grand Ave. and South Orange Grove Ave., and side streets) where permitted. Avoid parking in areas with “No Parking” signs, as cars left in these designated areas will be towed. Pasadena Heritage is not responsible for any towed vehicles.
Free parking for guests is also available in two nearby parking lots:
Maranatha High School Parking at 169 S St. John Ave.
Doheny Eye Institute Parking at 150 N Orange Grove Blvd. (enter through Kensington Pl.)
PAID PARKING: Convenient parking is available at the Elk’s Lodge at the corner of Orange Grove Blvd. and Green St. (enter from Green St.) for $20.00. Flat rate parking is available in Old Pasadena after 5:00 p.m. and a free Pasadena Transit Bus will be circulating along Colorado Blvd. to the Bridge Party Stop.
Yes, there will be a drop-off area at the north end of South Grand Ave. A wheelchair-accessible ramp will be provided in this area so attendees can enter the Park area.
PASADENA TRANSIT: The Pasadena Transit bus will run its Route 10 bus throughout the evening until 12 midnight along Colorado Boulevard between Lake Ave. and Orange Grove Blvd., with a special stop at W. Colorado Boulevard at Orange Grove. (FREE). At Lake Ave., the bus will head southbound to E. Del Mar Blvd. and then return to Lake Ave. If you use street or flat-rate parking in Old Pasadena, you can walk to any Pasadena Transit bus stop along Colorado Blvd. for a ride to the Bridge party entrance.
METRO: The Pasadena transit bus will be only a few blocks from the Gold Line Del Mar Station, Memorial Park Station, and Lake Avenue Station. You can also take the Metro Gold Line to Memorial Park Station, from there you can catch Metro Local 180/181 at Colorado Blvd and Arroyo Parkway, exit at Colorado Blvd at Terrace Drive and walk one block to the bridge.

Yes, the American Red Cross will have a First Aid Station set up in the Grand Avenue cul-de-sac in the park.
Credit cards and cash will be accepted. Checks will not be accepted. On-site tickets can be purchased at the main entrance to the event located off Orange Grove Blvd. Activity Tickets (Scrip) tables are located throughout the event. There are no ATMS at the event.
