This final phase of the Blinn House Capital Campaign will see the restoration of the iconic pergola. This signature exterior feature provides a dramatic first impression to visitors and sets the stage for the best of the Blinn House’s design as was intended by the house’s architect, George W. Maher.
Unfortunately, time has rendered the pergola’s wood brittle, cracked, and, in some places, completely missing. We will be replacing the wood with redwood, as was used in the original design, and custom cutting the wood beams using a master craftsman.
Please consider a contribution to this integral restoration project as we look to restore the pergola to all of its 1906 glory.
