In Pasadena, Landmark Districts are historic neighborhoods designated at the local level and protected by zoning laws. Designated properties are typically eligible for grants or tax incentives for rehabilitation projects through programs like the Mills Act. How do you know if your property or neighborhood is eligible? What is the application process? These questions and more will be addressed our staff, speakers from the City Planning Department, and local citizens participating in each of the programs.

The meeting will focus on Mansionization in non-hillside Pasadena neighborhoods that do not have Landmark District designation. The City of Pasadena is in the process of drafting new regulations on single-family construction, and information gathered at this meeting will provide constructive input. The evening’s agenda also includes an introduction to the City’s upcoming Specific Plan process where eight areas of the city are targeted to receive special consideration under the recently updated General Plan.
