“Spoken History” is vivid, full of anecdotes and evocations, that enrich and complement written history. It is a legacy that future generations will value. You can help preserve that legacy by joining our efforts to save our irreplaceable past for the future. A host of Pasadena residents have stories to tell – stories that will be lost to us and generations to come – if we do not capture them when we have the opportunity.

Volunteer with the Pasadena Heritage Oral History Project to uncover and showcase historical treasures that reside in the minds and hearts of Pasadenans.

Community members are essential participants in the Oral History Project. They recommend and research interview candidates, and conduct the actual oral history interviews. Pasadena Heritage Staff and other oral history professionals provide complete training and support services.

Come learn about oral history interviewing techniques and research methods, and discover the thrill of finding and saving the stories of Pasadena residents and the significant events or details of daily life as they happened.
