BIENNIAL BRIDGE PARTY COMMITTEE
Every other year Pasadena Heritage holds its signature summer event and fundraiser on the Colorado Street Bridge. The majestic and iconic bridge comes alive with music, dancing, local cuisine, festive beverages, rare and antique cars, and children’s activities. Over 400 volunteers are needed to execute this celebrated community event in the areas of event set-up, ticket sales and operations, merchandise sales, beverages, children’s activities, and event clean up.
Detailed behind the scenes planning and operations begin in late January. A committee of dedicated, energetic and vibrant volunteers come together once a month for six months to create a memorable evening for all. A group of 20 plus individuals from varied back grounds, ages and expertise make up multiple subcommittees that focus on specific areas of the celebration.
This lively committee works hard with Pasadena Heritage staff, a committee chair and event planner to create the most popular Pasadena party of the year. Volunteers interested in this committee should note the six-month commitment.
"Being a “Pasadena Native,” I love this city! I am inspired by Pasadena’s enriched offerings, but my favorite event is Pasadena Heritage’s Craftsman Weekend! The need to give back and volunteer, for this event, is my way of giving back to the historic beauty of these magnificent architectural treasures! I am honored, year after year to participate in this spectacular event!!!"
