COLORADO STREET BRIDGE PARTY FAQ
A big community celebration on the historic Colorado Street Bridge which is closed to traffic for the evening. The event is hosted by the non-profit preservation group Pasadena Heritage to commemorate the saving of this iconic landmark. The event raises funds for Pasadena Heritage programs and services throughout the city.
Tickets are on sale now, and discounts are available. Please check the ticket section of this website for more information.
Discounts will be available until Friday, July 13 at 11:59 PM. Tickets will be on sale the night of the event for $25.00/Adults and $10.00/Children (7-12), children under 7 are free and do not need a ticket. Please use the entrances on Orange Grove Blvd. or west end of the Bridge to purchase tickets at the event.

Tickets are being issued through Eventbrite via email. Check your email (and spam folder) for a message from Eventbrite. Make sure you bring your ticket with you for entrance into the party.
Yes, feel free to come and go, your wristband will allow you to re-enter.
Yes! This is a family-friendly event. Kids 7 and under are free; there will be a variety of free kids activities and entertainment offered from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Defenders Park, featuring police and fire vehicles, face painting, a rock wall, special musical entertainment, and more.
Due to the number of people expected at this event, we ask that you DO NOT bring pets. Service animals are welcome as needed.
Gates open at 6:00 p.m.
It ends at 11:30 p.m. Alcohol sales and amplified music end at 10:30 p.m., while children’s activities will end at 9:00 p.m.
There are three entrances to the event: South Orange Grove at Colorado Boulevard, the far west end of the Bridge, and the north end of South Grand Avenue at the cul-de-sac.
Ticket holders may enter at any entrance. Purchase additional tickets only at Orange Grove and Colorado and at the far west end of the Bridge. (No ticket sales at the So. Grand entrance – it is for ticket holders only.)
There will be a security check at all entrances, including bag inspections.
Security personnel will be on duty throughout the event, including private security and off-duty Pasadena Police officers. If you need help, feel free to contact the nearest security person directly or go to any Scrip Table where communication with security will be available.
Be casual and comfortable, but shirts and shoes are required!
We will be posting set times the week of the party.
Festive foods such as tri tip sandwiches, BBQ ribs, grilled corn, Mexican specialties, ice cream, and much more will be offered by local restaurants. Beverages (alcoholic and soft drinks) will be available in the park and on the Bridge using “scrip” tickets only. Scrip tickets are valued at $1.00 each. Purchase scrip tickets at six designated scrip tables. Use your scrip at any bar or restaurant booth.
Bottle water is $1 or 1 scrip and can be purchased at any of the 4 bars.
Yes, the Lost & Found booth is located at the Grand Avenue cul-de-sac entrance.
LIMITED FREE PARKING: Free parking will be available on surface streets (along South Grand Ave. and side streets, parking is also available on both sides of South Orange Grove Blvd. after 6pm) where permitted. Avoid parking in areas with “No Parking” signs, as cars left in these designated areas will be towed. Pasadena Heritage is not responsible for any towed vehicles.
PAID PARKING: Convenient parking is available at the Elk’s Lodge at the corner of Orange Grove Blvd. and Green St. (enter from Green St.) for $10.00. Flat rate parking is available in Old Pasadena after 5:00 p.m. Park in Old Pasadena and take the free Pasadena Transit Bus from Colorado Blvd. to the Bridge Party Stop. Yes, in the cul-de-sac there will be a drop-off area at the north end of S. Grand Ave. We have a wheelchair accessible ramp so attendees can use this to enter the Park area.
PASADENA TRANSIT: The Pasadena Transit bus will run throughout the evening, westbound along Colorado Boulevard and eastbound on Green Street with a special stop at W. Colorado Boulevard at Orange Grove. (FREE). If you use street or flat-rate parking in Old Pasadena, walk to any Pasadena Transit bus stop for a ride to the Bridge party entrance.
METRO: Take the Metro Gold Line to Memorial Park Station, from there you can catch Metro Local 180/181 at Colorado Blvd and Arroyo Parkway, exit at Colorado Blvd at Terrace Drive and walk one block to the bridge.

If you purchased your passes online, please contact (626) 441-6333 by 4pm on Fri., July 13, or if you are onsite, you can show a digital version of your ticket to gain entrance.
Yes, the American Red Cross will have a First Aid Station set up in the Grand Avenue cul-de-sac in the park.
Event tickets and scrip tickets can be purchased using cash, credit cards, or checks. Tickets can be purchased at the main entrance to the event located off Orange Grove Blvd. Script tables are located throughout the event and can also be purchased at the main entrance. There are no ATMS at the event.
